Christoph Kahleyss
Christoph Kahleyss has garnered exceptional experience in the ield of industrial design. After working for years in New York, Stuttgart and Hamburg, he was honoured with the Red Dot Award. In his works, Christoph Kahleyss primarily focusses on construction and the thoroughness of an idea. In his mind, it is precisely these characteristics that give design a right to exist, and make it autonomous and distinctive.
“Good design must be based on a speciic idea, and everything has to be right, down to the smallest detail.”
The models designed by him – Base and Nuvola – are truly an embodiment of these principles.

The braun maniatis design company was founded in 1998 in Stuttgart by Nicolaus Maniatis and Jürgen Braun. The designers went on to develop ideas and bring them to life, presenting their work at international exhibitions.
“The focus is on development of innovative seating concepts in upholstered furniture.”
The company designed the Genau models Corso, Modus, Largo and Astro, each of them being an original contemporary take on a rest and relaxation concept. Solutions from braun maniatis design were recognised by the prestigious Red Dot Award in 2008 and 2009.

Stefan Heiliger Design

Stefan Heilger
Honoured with numerous prestigious awards, including the Red Dot Award and the Good Design Award, Stefan Heiliger opened his eponymous design studio in 1980. For several decades now, his company has been successfully cooperating with leading manufacturers of upholstered furniture, both in Germany and further aield.
“The most important principle is to unite form and function together so that the one symbiotically complements the other.”
For the Genau collection, he designed the models Frankfurt, Flex, Centro and Cloud, as well as a complete line of armchairs. All of them are an expression of the designer’s key principle – form articulates a special relaxation experience, while technology makes this possible.

Lounge Design

Alexander Grimm and Ronny Eysser
Before establishing their own LOUNGE Design agency, Alexander Grimm and Ronny Eysser worked at leading German companies for several years. Along with upholstered furniture, the agency also creates items in other design disciplines: this allows the partners to seek inspiration in the most diverse sources, to ind unusual solutions and to realise these in their products.
“We strive to ind know-how in many different facets and to use this knowledge in our projects.”
The models Como and Kir Royal, which were created for Genau, feature a truly eye-catching style.
